Tudor Changefulness

An evolving house, showing additions added over time, can develop a rich complexity and a deep rootedness.  This ‘changefulness’ is integral to traditional architecture, especially English Arts and Crafts.

This second floor addition, a main bedroom suite, sits on top of an earlier one-story addition, remodeled some years ago into a kitchen (This architect’s first involvement).  To make room for the main bedroom, an all glass, second floor sunroom was removed.  At some point, the house grew a new front entry porch (See Porches).  Currently, a new family room addition is in the works……
